GURU'S PLEASE HELP. I just found out that my F...ing lawyer messed up my first name while filing my 140 which was approved on November 2002. I filed 485 and got 3 EAD'S and 2 AP'S approved. I also did 2nd FP in june 2004. I did not receive any RFE so far. But I am really worried. Any inputs are appreciated.

IIO may not even notice the spelling mistakes. It's unnecessary to worry about anything w/ CIS until it really happens, as there are no rules out there.


Hope for an approval, not for RFE.

Don't you worry buddy as Sanga said and I believe that CIS will not really look for silly name mistakes and they will consider the Alien# for all practical purposes and just make sure that the A# is same on the I140 and I485, EAD and AP's you have applied. I would really worry if Name is mispelled in I485 than I140 as CIS will do your Name Check based on the I485 application.

So just relax and just sit tight and pray for your I485 approval.
 
Thanks a lot for giving me some valueble and encouraging advice.

My 485 receipt and all my EAD'S and AP'S have the correct name and A#. I do not understand why INS did not find out about it as I filed 485 using con-current rule after I filed my 140 in May. I filed 485 in August using the new rule.

They may never find out. Don't worry now. Just wait. You have so many LUD. You will hear something soon. Good luck.
