Hello Gurus & Experts,
I got an appointment for Finger Prints scheduled for next week. Please suggest me on what should I do as I'm single and planning to get married in India sometime between June - August of 2008. I'm aware of the fact that if my I-485 gets approved before I get married, I cannot bring my spouse to the US on H4 visa.
My I-140(Filed under EB2 category) is not approved yet, but it will be approved anytime now as they are currently processing cases filed in Jan 2007. My case was received in Feb 2007 at Nebraska Service Center.
1. Should I go ahead an give fingerprints assuming that it will take more than an year for the I-485 to be approved? The current priority for EB2 is April 2004 and I started my greencard processing in June 2006.
2. Reschedule fingerprints so that I can buy some time. How much time can it buy me? Is it even worth to reschedule finger prints?
Your quick response is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,
Rakesh
