GURUS please help ! H1 & H4 visa expiring soon.

My H1 and my wife\'s H4 visas are expiring on April 30th, 2002 and we already got our extension which is valid till sep\' 2003. Since i am planning to go to India sometime in June or July, we don\'t want to send our passports to D.C or st. Louis for revalidation.

Could you please suggest me if it is ok to get a stamp using the drop box while i am in India ????

Will we be considered as "out of status" since we won\'t have a valid visa in the passport at the time of applying for an extension in our passports ????

No worry mate.

Even if you have merely applied for extension before apl 30 you will not be considered out of status. Quit hyper worrying. You are absolutely fine. And yes you can do the dropbox until the expiry of the new h1 .
 
Get it revalidated from St. Louis

Hi,

     If you are planning to go in June or july, you have plenty of time. Revalidation is happening in 6 weeks nowadays. Got my PP back yesterday.

Sent date = 02/12
PP back on 03/28

Its faster in India, but you have enough time now to get it done here.
