I am in the process of concurrently filling 140/485
My questions are:

1. Is it absolutely necessary to send medical when sending the application, or BCIS will ask later when the 485 date becomes current?
2. Its taking easily more than 1 year for 485 and validity for medical is only 1 year. How does that work? Do they ask to take medical again

Please advice....

Send the medical.

The medical must be less than 1 year old at the time of I-485 filing. Typically the medical is good indefinitely after that. Only the FP expires.
