Hello,
Could anyone please answer the following questions?

1. I applied for I-485 on Dec 27, 2000 (INS Vermont). I gave
   finger prints on April 26th, 2001. Any idea about how long it may
   take to get GC stamping notification?

2. My consulting company decided to terminate my position from July
   24th. Can I change my company now? Many friends of mine submitted
   some yellow letter (employment verification letter) to their INS
   centers. But they applied to INS Nebraska. I didn\'t submit any
   employment letter so far. Is it still safe to change the company
   now? Any one submitted such letter to INS Vermont?

3. If I change my company now, how long my GC processing
   will be delayed?

   I appreciate your feedback.

You should be fine. as per new AC-21 regulations you can change employer after 180 days of I-485 filing without affecting your GC approval process. You should definitely let INS know about the termination from your old company and New emplyer\'s details. Make sure the new job description is same or very much similar to whatever is described in your labour certification application.
