Hi everyone. I have 2 questions, please:
1. I am an asylee and have a valid RTD, i want to go to Italy for a couple weeks. I would like to know if Italy accepts RTD, and if I need visa or no.( I dont have green card yet, I havent even apply for one yet)

2. I have a pending I 730 for my wife, she is in my home country? She is gonna go to Italy to meet me. I would like to know if its gonna make the process of I730 longer, or it doesnt really matter if she goes to Italy for a couple week.

Thank you

2) why do you think it will make the process longer? I don't see any reason to cause that.
1) I think they should, I have never heard of any schengen country to not accept RTD or RP so you should be fine. Just call them and ask. Usually takes about three weeks for you to get visa.

Good luck

Italy does accept RTD to visit their country. I got a visa in the Italian consulate in SF last year in my RTD when I was an asylee (no green card yet)... very simple and straight foward...

BTW: Italian consulate people are a bit arrogant...but you just go with ALL the requirements for the visa and you will be fine..
