share you guys some good news and some bad news.

good news is they backdated my ND! Haha, no one ever noticed it until today my attorney's assistant pulled out the online portfolio for "representative" and on that list my ND is April 2001! Isn't that amazing? she checked everything from the copy of original I-485 to FP notice and assured me that it was BCIS's typo.

About backdating GC: there is no explicit explanation from BCIS but after looking at all the cases my attorney's firm processed. It looks like they did this to reflect the theoretical approval date if all the quota has been used. He doubts the backdating will occur for cases with later ND. But he said, with the effect of class-action lawsuit, who knows!

Windywd,

What are you talking about, it is beyond me. Please come back with more detail.

MK,

Only the first receipt date is correct: April 2002.

Since then, for some mysterious reason, they backdated my ND for one year!

Typo or what? Who cares!

Windywd,

I'm getting sick in my stomach, can't concetrate. Please forgive me for acting like a schmuck.

That explains it....

That explains it. It was an error made by USCIS that's why you got the RFI because they think your ND is 04/2001 instead of 04/2002. Otherwise you were the only one who got RFI from 2002.
This gives me more confidence that people who got RFI will be approved this year.

Now the mystery fully resolved. INS mistakenly thought your ND is 2001 instead of 2002. The bad news for me is that INS won't adjust ND 2002 cases this fiscal year.

Still. There is another person said received RFI except Windywd. With 2002 ND too

Windywd. I saw you former post. Could you find that person followed your post?

I don't believe they will adjust all with ND 2000 this fisical year, let alone those with ND 2002.

Twice,

Besides USCIS, only God knows who will get their status adjusted. ND's may have some bearing but what I recall reading on the forum that there are people from 1996 who are waiting for their cases to be adjusted. I'm not being sarcastic, it's just a known fact.

Lets hope and pray that all goes well, this situation is not as preety as anyone might think.

I concure with you. You did not act sacrastically.
