==> San Jose FP waiters thread (from 02/19/2002)

FP for WAC 02-034 RD 10/05 not received

Haven\'t received yet. Has anybody\'s(who has received FP) AVM updated? Mine still says "Your application was received .. blah blah..."
 
I got and completed FP a week ago still no avm change.

I read some people saying that 1 week after FP is done the AVM gets updated for some " pending review " message.
the FBI sent back my FP to the INS on 3/20 , 3/19 for spouse
so I guess I can wait for a day or so before wondering what is going on ?

reflect that an FP was sent to you? Saying something like "we have sent a notice to finger print....." My problem is I haven\'t yet received FP and does not know if they have sent out one.
 
got Fp and 03/25/02 and done 03/26 at SJ.

got the notice yesterday, went to San Jose ASC on 12:30, out around
1:45pm, we saw guards turning away people for early fingerprint,
guess noon is rush hour for FP. we were just purely lucky.

Going for FP

Hi,

We are planning on going to the San Jose ASC for early FP tomorrow. Are they turning people away. What is the best time to go so it wont be crowded and we wont be turned away.

depends, I think

when we arrived there on 12:30 yesterday, guard let us in , they were calling
for number 218 while our number is 240, around 1:00pm, I noticed
guard started to turnning away early fp people, this kept on till we
left around 1:45pm, the only exception the guard made was for an pregenant lady and her husband. one thing apparently you should NOT
to do is to declare you are an early FP to the guard during busy hour.
lunch time is not a good time I guess. cause someone like me would likely go there :)
 
FP recv\'d 02-041-****

Just now got mail from attorney that they have recev\'d the fingerprint notice.
We will wait for couple days till we receive our copy if not take cortesy copy and go for early finger printing.
 
Early FP advice

Could someone with sufficient knowledge or experience summarize the early FP in San Jose pls?

1. When to go
2. What to take
3. Where to go? (I heard there was a separate place other than INS office?)

my experiance

1) Go at 2 pm or so on a weekday.
2) FP notice, Driver\'s lic or passport or EAD card.
3) 740 story road next to the taco bell. san jose.
(101 S, story road ext )
 
FP letter + Driver license or PAssport + EAD (or H1-b i797)

Take more then save your time.

  They ask me the EAD card.
 
Why are SJ finger printing notices slow

I really do not understand, why should people applying from San Jose wait for longer time for their FP notices when all others in and around San Jose can come in and get their FP\'s done early at San Jose.

If only SJ office is busy, how come would they allow all others form various locations do their FP\'s here.

No offence to other location guys getting their FP\'s done at San Jose, but as you may understand it is quite annoying to see every one getting their FP notices, but for the guys at San Jose.

Hope San Jose guys, would catch up too.
