Called IIO couple of days ago and found the case is not assigned to an officer. I was wondering if there is any order in which a case would be assigned to officers? Or is it just that "FAN Technology..." ;-)

Looks like people with similar dates are geting approval.Should I keep waiting , or is it worth calling INS to talk to IIO.It has already been 2.5 months since FP.

I also in the same boat. My RD is 07/17 and ND is 08/28. My FP was done on 01/16. I am checking the AVM regularly (almost every day). One of my friends got the approval after 3.5 months and one of my colegue is waiting for the approval since 3 months and he has not got it yet. According to me there is no need to worry...!

What does AVM Say
I did my FP on 2/1. I check AVM regularly. In may case it still says FP notice was sent on ??/?? date. I called IIO and gathered the case is not yet assigned to an officer.

For people who stamped in LA/Santa Ana
My GC was approved on 3/26 as per the AVM and mailed. I have been waiting to go to India very desperately and have booked tickets for India on 4/07. That means I should get Passport stamped latest on 4/5. I have not received the approval letter in mail yet. I am just thinking that in the worst case, if I get my copy but my lawyer does not, can I go for stamping with my courtesy copy or do I need the lawyer\'s original approval notice? I am sure my approval will also say LA but I would like to go to Santa Ana too. Please let me know your experience. Will they do it with courtesy copy

I suspect this will give me some troble although my lawyer is optimized about the situation.
