Regular/RIR

RIR is reduction in requirement. For certain categories/skills the govt has accepted that employers cannot find suitable people within USA and so have to depend on getting them from outside. This is a seperate procedure at the LCA stage. RIR applications are given preference in processing but I am not very clear at what stage and how much difference does it make.
You can ask your lawyer as to whether your application was RIR or Regular.

I think all EB1 categories do not go through labor - direct 140. RIR column may not be applicable for \'valen\' as it is for me.

Got it, RIR makes no sense for GC

Just like EB1 has no priority over EB2 or EB3 during 485 processing. RIR would not accelerate your application at all.
