My long wait for greencard is finally over.
Just got back from vacation, I saw approval letters sitting in
my mail box for me and my wife. Here is details of my case :
EB2 RIR
PD 08/00
RD 4/3/01
ND 4/24/02
FP 11/23/01
AD 05/20/02
My lawyer has not received the original approval letter.
Can I use courtesy copy for stamping ?
Thanks a lot to everybody in this board. Specailly PCee & rsrgc
you guys are doing great job. Can anybody share there recent
stamping experience in san jose. What all the documents I need
to take and what time I should be there ?

Approved on 5/10/02 (per Notice Date)
I had been out of the country and came back yesterday on AP without any problem(though my GC was approved while I was out of the country).

Atlast....it feels good indeed!!!

My heartfelt thanks to all the help that has been provided by pceegcee and other folks out here. I wish everyone good luck and all the very best in life.

long wait for my case over, case was approved on 5/29.
My AVM is changed to "this case has been approved on 5/29, approval notice was mailed on 5/29, blah, blahs".
But for my wife\'s AVM message, it is changed to " Amended notice was mailed on 5/29, blah, blah"
AVM is never changed before this message.(very old message, 975 days blah)
Any one know what my wife\'s AVM messaeg means? very urgent for this concern.
I am primary application(H1), my wife\'s(H4) case is based on mine.

Case detail:

RD: 4/11, 2001
ND: 5/9 2001
FP: 1/26 2002 (wife\'s 2/14 2002)
AD: 5/29 2002

I had made a resolution that I wouldnt check AVM till my case got approved and I didnt this week. We got our courtesy copies in the mail today.

Will go to Santa Ana to get stamping tomorrow. Havent checked AVM yet.
This has been a great forum and my special thanks to Pcee, rsrgc, milli, sonofindia and the list goes on. Will post stamping experience once I get it done.

My I-485 got approved on May 28 th. Got the courtesy copy by mail today.

Do I need to take the original for stamping or the copy is fine ?

  My lawyer told me she sent my response to RFE on May 2nd, AVM changed to notify me that INS received RFE on May
  22nd, and Yesterday (May 30)AVM changed to say my case got approved on May 30th. Believe yours will be approved
  soon.

I have a question. Do you need send the 1040 form of your own copy or you have to send the certified copy from IRS?
