RFE: April 4th
RFE received: May 1
Approved: May 21

Stamping done at SFO on 05/22

I got the PP stamping done today at INS/SFO.
Got in there at 8.15AM and was out by 900AM. Couldn\'t believe this experience.

I don\'t know, I kind of feel blank and do not know what to say. Its still sinking in. The pessimistic me did not want to announce it till I got the approval notice in hand but the "true" me could not resist.

As for the approval itself, AVM says it was approved on 21st May 2002. I do not know whether it was the Fax that my lawyer sent in on Friday (may 17th - 60 days since replying to RFE) or was it a letter I had written to the local congress woman that helped the approval.
I had written to the congress woman regarding my case on the 9th of May and just yesterday (may 21st) I recd a letter from here stating that she had contacted the INS and requested them to expedite my case.

Finally after waiting for almost a year, I heard the magic words which
are "This case has been approved". As BVM said, I too am feeling
blank. After waiting for something for so long, and when that happens,
its just blank.

Here are the details

EB2 India,CSC, RD 04/19, ND 06/19, AP 07/23, EAD 10/03, FP 11/27, RFE
02/13 (3 yrs tax returns, 3 pay stubs), RFE Reply 03/28, AD 05/21

Next Tuesday I would have completed 60 days of filing RFE and I had
put a reminider to ask the lawyer to send a Fax enquiry. Now I can
delete it.

I want to thank each one of you on this board for making it a great
place. All you guys who give everything from advice to hope to
recipes. Just hang in there. I waited for a year and it was not easy
with the economy going down. But just hang in there.

Now I am waiting for the lawyer to send the documents.

My details are there on rupnet also, I will update it when I come down
from this floating state.
 
Stamping at SFO is great

I also went on 05/22 for stamping. I was in at 7:45 and done around 8:25. It looks like to me that if we make SFO people incharge of INS, all the cases will be approve with in a month.

AD - May 16 2002,
Went and got the passport stamped today.

This forum is great help..keep it up.
Now that I received my greencard thinking of relocatiing India for some time (couple of years). Have spent eight years in this country. am really bored..

No faxes or enquiries until my case got approved. Somehow my wife\'s case didn\'t get approved along with it. Both me and my lawyer called up INS and were told that my wife\'s case is still pending. I did ask the IIO to make a note that my case was approved -- don\'t know if it helped or not. Fairly relieved that the process is over and hope the passport stamping goes off smoothly (in SFO).

I\'m glad to say that our 485 got approved on May 14th
Following are the details.

EB3-INDIA
ND-9/01
AP-12/01
EAD-01/02
FP- 1/24/02 (earlier FP)
ASC- SJC
Approval Date - 5/14/02
RFE in AP..they lost 2 photos
Finished stamping in SFO ..very cool.
Checked so many times with IIO
My case was assigned to an Officer on April 10th.
The whole journey took almost little less than 4 years
it is tough testing time.

I know some guys still waiting since 96..Pray for them first.Some guys who filed year back in a big tension..cool down guys..

Hello everyone,
I am posting a msg after a long time. Thought I wont check anything till I get the approval. But what the hell.
I checked the AVM and SURPRISE. It said that my wife\'s 485 has been approved on 5/12 and mine said (RD 16th OCT) FP notice has been recieved and processing has been resumed.
So should I expect an approval without any problems.
Please avdice.
