Greencard-Secondary Applicant before Primary Applicant

Hi ....

Is it actually possible that the spouse, who is secondry applicant, gets the greencard first and the primary applicant later.

Actually I called up VSC today they told me that my wife's name check and date of birth check got cleard, but that mine are still pending.
She told me that they are waiting to get Visa No. available for my wife....


Do u think it is possible that she will get the greencard before me , even though my Security cleareance is pending.


Is anybody in same situation?

No - your 485 has to clear first.

It has happened in my case too

My 485 and my spouse 485 were approved on the same day

She got the card within a week and I am yet to get one

Opened a query with the USCIS and waiting for the response
