Greencard scam marriage end in a killing.

So the moral of the story is don't go greedy. Hopefully she'll be in jail for LONG time (like 25 - 30 years) and his brother will be kick out of the country. Such stories p...ing me off because after that immigration goes after the real couples married bona fide.

Friends,

In my view, the moral of the story is simple: "For the love of money is the root of all evil". Men with no moral compasses created a torched financial system, in the process destroyed millions of people's hard earned savings and properties. The weird thing is that I am well familiar with this pizzeria, never went inside or bought anything there because I am don't do business with any place where a pizza available 24 hours... Something tells me it is unhealthy to have pizza sitting in the warmer for the entire day. :( Also, young high school kids hang around there a whole lot, and if you ask me, all high school students in the US should send to do high school in Alaska, so that adults can enjoy their peaceful existence away from unruly kids...

It turns out it may not have been a sham marriage. The pAkistan guy actually had feelings for this woman. The law says, the marriage should not be for immigration benefits ONLY right? I see more here.. what say you?

myredskins,

I've read all of the news reports (WaPo and other sources) and no where could I find any statement made by the decedent's brother, who remains unidentified, that he had any feelings for the accussed.

Even the Affidavit doesn't reveal anything regarding his feelings:

I guess you are right. But if this is true, then it changes everything: The deal fell apart, however, after the brother, whom police have not publicly identified, found out that Robinson "was having sexual affairs," Cephas wrote. Even though the brother and Robinson were married only on paper and did not live together, Rana "became upset" with Robinson and told her "that she would not be getting paid the money that they agreed upon anymore," the affidavit says.

I read the affidavit last night and it doesn't necessarily state the extent of the relationship between the pakistani brother and this woman. It appears as if he never even had the opportunity to consummate the matiral relationship, cause they lived apart and nowhere does it state if both has a honey in the moon...:D The brother was killed for refusing to continue paying because the woman was giving it to other men... The affidavits also mentioned that the brother was in the "immigration process" which is unclear whether they had already filed for the GC or this was for someothing else.

I am convinced that this woman and the two people who killed the owner of the Pizza Mart are going to be convicted of this crime. The question is how long are going to be in prison. I hope the federal govt pursue immigration and mail fraud against the woman, robbery and murder. I wouldn't mind if they are sentenced to 40 years in jail and hard labor...

Strange twist!

Allegedly Shanika Robinson was also having a "relationship" with D.C. police detective Terrance Green who is also married to another D.C. police officer. Green recently committed suicide after having his police powers removed and served with a subpoena to testify before the grand jury in connection to the Rana murder!!

"The investigation into the murder is on going. Robinson is still the only person charged in the case."
