Hello,

I am a Greencard holder and have filed for my son (under 21). I just received a letter from the INS for an Immigrant Visa application Processing Fee Bill for $335.00.

Does anyone know what the process is and how long do the next steps take.

My son turns 21 this year on June 15th. I am worried and shit scared that he might not be able to get his GC before he turns 21 and will have to wait another 5-7 years.

Any help and thoughts would be appreciated.

Did you allready file for his I-130? Is his priority date current with the I-130?Or is the application you are talking about allready for his I-485 (adjustment of status). If his priority date (I-130 date)is current and you are going to apply for adjustment of status your son is protected with the new child protection law as long as you send the application (I-485) in before he turns 21! Please give more info! I was in the same situation with my son. It turned out to be a big adventure!

I applied for I130 in July 2000. I didnt hear anything for almost 3 1/2 years. Late last year i got a notice to send a $65 fee. then came a request for $335. Today I received an affidavit of support form.

I am wondering how much more is it going to take. I would appreciate any help.
