Hello,
I have My interview next week and need information on what type of questions they ask.

In the interview letter, they mentioned about bringing the Affidavit of Support, I864. Is there a need to take this form even though I submitted this form when I filed My papers.

My Wife is a US Citizen, she doesn't have her Birth Certificate, do they need her Birth Certificate.

What are the list of documents they need.
I94,
Passport,
EAD,
AP,
Social Secuirty Card,
W2,
Tax Returns,
License,
Photos,
Financial Statements,
Utility bills,
Insurance Statements,
Birth Certificate,
Marriage Certificate,
My Wife's US Citizenship.

I Submitted My Medical Examination when filing, should I take the copy. How about the I864, Affidavit of support.

Can you confirm on these questions.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks,
msuku

If they ask you already for a document, just do it. Don't you think that is worth it, than then get a delay in your approval or get a denial for something so simple?
Even they forget to ask for it later, remember all these time waiting...
Make a search around this forum, there is a lot of experi ences and what documents people brought and questions during the interview. Just in case, if she doesn't have her birth certificate, she can bring her passport. When you say my wife's US citizenship you mean the naturalization certificate? if that so you should bring it. Remember that when you submitted the papers all your supporting evidence where copies and probably they will want to see the originals.
Good luck,

Immigrant visa - Period of travel & Period of stay

Dear All:

My father had his immigrant visa past week in Delhi embassy. I would be grateful for the following information:

1. within what time he has to travel to the US.
2. how many months he has to stay during his first visit.
3. how many months he has to stay every year to maintain green card
4. if he wants to leave early, what precautions should he take so that green card is not cancelled and/or he is refused re-entry during next visit.
5. if for some reason green card is cancelled, can he go back to multiple entry visa.

Thank you very much for your help and information.

6 months. You can ask for extension by paying appropriate fees
2. how many months he has to stay during his first visit.
There is no minimum
3. how many months he has to stay every year to maintain green card

Green card does not get cancelled if you leave early. If he is leaving for more than a year, he should apply for re-entry permit. Look at link above.
5. if for some reason green card is cancelled, can he go back to multiple entry visa.
No. If for some reason his GC gets cancelled, then i doubt he would get a visitor visa. Reason: He already demonstrated immigration intent, got a green card and he will most likely not be issued a non-immigrant visitor visa
Thank you very much for your help and information.
