greencard for husband

Hi you all,

I got my permanet greencard through the visa lottery a year ago. I am engaged and would like to know what will be my husband to be situation in order to get a greencard once we are married. he doesn´t live in the US.
How would this work once we are married? howis the paper work i should file?

thank you real canadian, so what does this mean? he cannot move with me to the states? he should wait 5 to 7 years to get a temporary greencard?
let's say i get married in 5 months in my country, is there any kind of paperwork we can do so he can move back with me?

He cannot get a Green Card until his priority date is current, which will be 5-7 years. His only realistic chance to go to the US with you is via an H or L employer-sponsored visa.
