Hi, I live in Chicago and I saw that the processing times for 'sibling of a citizen' category at NSC is 5 months. Does that mean that if I apply for my brother, his case will be approved in 5 months?
Yes. And then it will take another 12-20 years for a visa to become available.
Dear therealcanadian, thanks for your reply. I am not very informed about the visa matters so pls provide feedback if anyone has similar experience or have information. My brother is a Pakistani citizen and I noticed that the visa backlog for Pakistan is about 45000. How long does it take to get the visa for Pakistan after the initial approval after 5 months.

Right now, the wait is 9 years. It may go up or down in the future.
