I am married to an American Citizen but we do not live together, is it possible to apply for a green card and get it? I need some advise out there please. THANKS

we are both living in the united states and she is living with her mother, I am living with my Brothers. We are not financially capable to get an apartment of our own.

You're going to have big problems with the green card process living separately like that. Usually when a married couple can't afford to live on their own, they live together with family or friends, not separately.

How long have you been married? Are you in the US legally or illegally? If illegally, did you enter legally?

we have been married for 4 months now and my temporary visa is still valid but i was given six months maximum when i came in and is been 4 years now

With this living arrangement and the overstay coupled with the short duration of a flimsy looking marriage, you'll never get approved. You need to start living together first and then when more established, you may stand a chance if the marriage survives with you two under one roof. It doesn't ever look like as real marriage to you or you wouldn't be asking.
