I am on H1B and working with one of the IT companies 'ABC Corp' here in US. I am one of the partners on a Business Corporation XYZ Corp(which is different from where i work). I have heard that as a Business Partner of XYZ Corp, a GC can be sponsored for myself if i invest some couple of 100k $$$ in Business. All other partners are GC holders....Gurus anyone know of this kind of situation? Any information in this direction willl be great help..Thanks in advance to all the immigration gurus!!!!!

The catch with the 'investor' EB-5 category is that they dangle the card in front of you for something like 3-4 years until you can finally get your conditions removed. Before you commit yourself to this, be sure to collect as much information as you can. They have given people a hard time because they only employed N-1 people when their petition 5 years ago said they would employ N. Things like stock market crashes and economic downturns don't enter into their equations. They are paper-pushers, often without a connection to the real world.
(the required investment is pretty large, something like 1mil. This is not like canada where you can take a loan, put the money into an investment fund for unemployed first nation people and buy your permanent residency that way)
