Green card renewal

I am planning to renew my daughter's Green card for biometrics (current card does not expire for next 6 years). But I am also planning a trip to my home country in two months time. It looks like it takes around three and half months to get a new card. What are my options if I donot receive green card before the travel date.

Appreciate any response.
 
She turn 14 last year and I forgot to renew her green card for biometrics. Will it be a problem if I use the old card for this travel and renew after I come back from the trip
 
They will let her continue to use the old card. Unless they take it away when she goes for fingerprinting, but if they do that they should give her an I-551 stamp in her passport which she can use to travel while waiting for the plastic green card.
 
Thanks for the infomation. I am planning to process the application this week. Will I need to include the application fee of $365 too (since the application is late) or just the biometric fee of $85 should be enough?

No need to include $365.00, as her green card doesn't expire for the next 6 years.
Processing fee for Biometrics of $85.00 is sufficient enough.
