My husband recieved GC via mail but never recieved approval notice for I-485.
Does it normal?

Kids and I did get approval letters like 3 weeks ago but my husband not.
Do he really needs this letter or GC is enough? We all got GC in the same date about 2 weeks ago.
 
The approval notice is helpful if the GC is lost, but it is not a necessary document. Just make sure he takes a copy of his GC and stores the copy in a safe place.
