Hi,

My brother is a US citizen and he wishes to apply for a green card. Can anyone please inform me , how long it will take to get a GC for myself ? I'm 26,unmarried from India
I heard like if my brother applies for my mother first and then my mother inturns applies will take within 2 years. I'm very much confused . I need all your replies at earliest.

The priority date for FB4-India is January 1996, so it'll take about 11 and a half years for you.

Your mother's GC would take about a year, and then you would fall under FB2-India, which would "only" take nine and a half years, and during this time you could not get married until your mother became a citizen.

There are no quick family-based options for you.
