I am presently doing a fellowship and have spent 4 yrs on H-1 B visa. By the time I finish my fellowship I will complete 5 yr on H-1.
Once I start my job during my 6th yr of H-1B; I am not sure if the employer would file for green card right away or wait for six months?
Also how would I get an extension for H-1 B in this scenario?
Is there anyway I can file for green card during my fellowship and get an EAD?
My wife also needs to do residency and will benefit from the EAD?
Can somebody guide on different options: NIW/VA?Community practice?
