Hello everyone. I hope all of you are doing great. Actually my fiance and I want to apply to the DV2014. I wanna know if we apply then get married (before the yannounce the results), do we get the green card both of us or just the one who got it ? Because on the application they ask whether you're married or not, I'm confused about what could happen after !

Since you're not married at the moment, you should apply as single. After you win the lottery, you can get married at that time, and tell KCC about your marriage then. It is normal for people to be single when they win the lottery, and then get married after that. But it is compulsory to report your marriage to KCC before interview.

Best wishes for DV-2014!

Thank you so much for your quick response. So what you're saying is that once i report the marriage to KCC and follow the the necessary steps, we shall go to the us together ! Thanks again. This is very helpful.

Both you and your fiance can apply for the lottery as separate entities (send in 2 applications stating your marital status as single). If either of you gets selected after getting married, you simply update the forms you will be sending back to KCC with your new marital status and you'll both get to migrate together once you're successful with the interview.

Hi,

This is my situation, i register for me and my aunt 2013 dv usa but only she came out accepted.
Anyway, i want to know if i get marriage with some situation with him before send forms and send the status change form, how it will be managed? she is 10 years older as me! and she is my aunt!
is there any way that officer know that his my aunt?
in which reason they may reject us for his marriage?
how i can manage this formality marriage to be a real ones so both of us get visa?
by which situation and reason officer will understand that this is a formality situation and what are the bad affects of it? will my aunt as main accepted dv usa be rejected also if ... ?

You want to undergo a sham marriage with your aunt who got selected in the DV lottery so that you can benefit from it also, and you're asking us for how you can successfully pull of this crazy plan? Unbelievable!

If you want to pull a bad sham marriage just to get the GC than I am sorry for you but this kind of entrants are the ones that should get a ban or something on even visit US....

What the hell are you saying? what mean bad marriage? what mean you sorry for me? i do not care if you want to think it as incest!
Just a simple sham work to get a hard getting visa! shame on all of your suck habit thinking. it is just a simple question to know if this is any further check about marriage relation and detail info by them. The marriage certificate IS just a certificate and not a incest as you think. ok! so sorry for yourself.

I am LOL-ing around like hell and I dont know weather to consider calling for a moderator for ubcboy or just let it go as he/she is clearely the winner of 'Funniest Post of the Year' award...lol :))))))))))))))))))))
And your answer Princedriss.....:))))....priceless like in a MasterCard commercial :)))))

Oh yes and the consular officer was born yesterday. Why do you think that they check so intensely marriages that suddenly happen after DV selection?? I don't know if CO can find out it's your aunt but it seems quite probable they will figure out it's a sham marriage to get a visa. And to answer your other question, from what I understand (someone may correct me if I am wrong) if your aunt agrees to this she has conspired to commit immigration fraud, which would also result in her being denied a visa, and both of you banned for some amount of years from any entry on any type of visa into the US.

No they will be banned for life because of fraud.
