Green card issue

I got GC in category AS8 (derivative Asylee) in january. Can my GC be affected, in case, my father who got his GC in category AS6 (Principal Asylee) decides to go back to the country of origin (IF the situation there is better).

I am very much concerned if my green card will be affected incase my father decides to go back. I am over 21 yrs of age now.



Please clarify me on this issue of great importance to me.
