If I wasn't so exhausted from our vacation over Labor Day weekend, I'd be terrified. :)

We have as much paperwork as we can find or think of for the interview as proof of our relationship, pictures, etc.We were quizzing each other on the drive yesterday but there's always the likelihood that we missed something.

But we still aren't really sure what to expect and I'm a bit nervous.

Is it ok to wear jeans? Or should we dress nicely?

Any other advice you can give?

If I were you, I would dress nicely and professional. However, a bit conservative in colors, and have my hair looking nice and eat a healthy breakfast of nuts, bananas, toast and a cold glass of kedem juice. Be confidence and provide answers to questions being asked directly to you, not your spouse. Don't be nervous and enjoy the experience. Remember, don't volunteer any information if not asked.

Just an update.

That was easier than we expected. Much easier actually.

She asked things like "can I see pictures", and wanted proof of things like joint bank account and joint insurance. Then she asked some things that verified what was already in the paperwork like address and birth date.

It took between 5 and 10 minutes. Then she told us that she's going to approve us, and we should receive the green card in the mail in a few weeks.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I GOT MY PERM RESIDENT CARD IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!!!!!!

*dances*

And only two weeks after the interview too.

Spanishgirl I was reading your timeline....Can you Walk in for Biometrics? I did not know that!

After talking to other member on here it looks like there's an 80% chance walk-ins are acceptable. Mine was a lucky case, and a couple others. But some get denied. The USCIS doesn't want ppl to do walk-ins. I'd say try if you need to, but it doesn't speed up the process. Also see my time line, nothing else progressed until my real date passed.
