UPDATE March 10,2009:



hi there,

I have file adjustment to permanent resident asylum base, and completed my medical recently.
3 Boimetric finger print was done on December 8,2008
and Medical was request in February 28, 2009 and completed in March 4,2009.
Now I am waiting for decision to come. My online update shows that they will decide within 60 days, unless finger and interview are necessary....
Is Asylum base require for interview or not?
I have never been convicted criminal or arested in any time in my life, so what should i expect and when should be the approximate decision. Your input will be appreciate. Thanks.

Asylum granted in October 2007
I-485 file October 2008
Finger and biometric done December 2008
Medical request completed, March 4, 2009


I got email today saying My GC has been order. It will be mailed within 30 days. Thank God...! March 10, 2009

I have a question If someone can help me with it.I filed my I485 in March,08. and there is no update since then. According to USCIS website they are currently processing applications recieved in AUG,08. which means my case is already out of processing time. I've also called USCIS nebraska service center to inquire about my case and there are no updates yet. Is there anything I can do on my side to improve the processing of my application or shall I seek help of my congressman. Any suggestions will be appreciated and best of luck 777.
 
It may be worthwhile to ask help from you senator, but I really do not know what to suggest at this point. It seems that the USCIS is doing their work case by case.
What did they tell you when you call the customer service? Is there any help when call ?
In my case it seems it is going smoothly. Wish you best of luck..

No help when I called the 1800 no. She said notification will be sent to the appointed officer. She also asked me If I want to add any notes and I told her that I am just concerned about my application and why is it not moving. She told me to call back If I dont hear from them within next 6 months. This is the reason I am asking for suggestions. So lets hope for a good news!
