green card holder marries to an international student.

I and my boyfriend are undergraduate students. I am having a green card, and will take the U.S citizenship test in Nov 2010. If I marry my bf who is an international student now, is there any negative affects for me to pass the test?? How long will it take for my bf to get a GC (approximate)? Plz, help me!!

your marriage won't have any effect on your citizenship test. And once you get the citizenship, you can sponsor your BF for a GC one you become a citizen and it takes 6-12 months for the GC to arrive. During such time, your BF can work with an EAD card.

Nothing negative for you. However if you both marry and he travels internationally, there is a small chance he may be denied re-entry on his student visa due to having a US PR/Citizen as his spouse. Keep that in mind.
