green card for parents

I am a lawful permanent resident( got it a month ago) and want to sponsor my parents green cards.
uscis.gov mentioned that a permanent resident can apply for this.
Had a few questions:
1. Is it quicker if they arrive here and then I apply for their green cards? This entails as per the website, only a change of status. If I apply when they are in India, would it take longer?
2. One of the points in 864 was:
"Number of persons who are otherwise dependent on you, as claimed in your tax return for the most recent tax year."
I have been supporting my parents and added these as dependants in the tax returns.( they had a TIN number), although they keep flying in and out of the country every six months. Should I put down the answer to that questions as 2 or 0?
3. If I am sharing a townhome currently with my girlfriend, does that mean the household income is the sum of my income and her income?
4. Do I have to file 864 separately for each individual? Or can I file just one 864? Same question applied to I130...

As a GC holder you can only file I130 for them and then wait for visa # become available for them wnich can take about 5-6 years.
Even if they come here on visitor visa, you won't be able to file more than I 130. You have to wait till you become a Citizen. It is faster then.

There is no category for the parents of permanent residents. Our original poster must become a citizen in order to sponsor parents.
