Green Card delay "Security Background Check"

USCIS hires FBI for a fee to do namechecks. So, it's USCIS call on how to process files.

I am remembering when they were going to clear LC CA backlog it took them YEARS to complete.

Why spring?
 
I think the process is getting better as one of my friends has been waiting for 2 years now too and he just got approved as well, I recieved my Green Card yesterday. I hope you all get yours soon.
 
Delay for the response letter for my interview

I have applied for me green card through marriage.
I married my girlfriend months ago, and I sent the documents for my green card.
My interview was on March 31st, 2011 at Houston, Tx. After the interview, the lady officer said that I should receive a response within 30 days. However, it has been more than 3 months already, and I have not received anything from them. I don't know what is going on.
I called the 1-800-375-5283 number last month, and they said they will contact Houston office. They told me I should wait for 30 days, but these days have passed already.
I did not change my address, and my online status has not updated. It still shows the interview letter they sent to me.
Please can someone clarify what is going on with my case...
I need HELP
