Green Card Arrived

Congrats Addie and wife. Out of interest, is the "resident since" on the card the same as the interview date? If so it sounds like your card got stuck in the same black hole mine did for no apparent reason, except you waited longer than I did!

Resident since is 2 weeks after interview date Keep in mind our IO held the approved application until after our 2 year anniversary so we could get the LPR

that was the cause for delay, we would have had GC in Nov. however if the IO did not hold our approved case we would only have the Conditional 2 yr. GC

So the delay was weel worth it

2016 we will renew GC.

2 week delay doesn't explain why it took >2 months from interview to the Green Card though does it? Most people seem to get their green card within a few weeks of being "approved".

True-- Where was your DO? The only explanation I can think of is that the end of the year seems to be busier due to holidays and more Govt. Holidays where Govt. offices are closed.
What ever the cause at least we are blessed to not have to worry about 6 month + pending cases due to SUCIS screw ups we have GC in hand and the process for us is finished.

I feel bad for others who are being held up by longer delays out of their own control where USCIS has misplaced, or mis filed their applications.
Or denials of legit petitions by USCIS and couples haveing to spend $1000+ to get approval.

Maybe, but they told me it would show up in 2 weeks, and that was a full month and a bit before thanksgiving.

Indeed, I'm not bothered about the wait, as so much curious as to why it happens in some cases and not others.

Addie and Doc, you two are indeed blessed. It seems as if the 10 year cards take longer to be sent than the 2 yr. Anyway, I am anxiously waiting for my 2-yr one. Hey,it works for me. ;)

Eh, What's up Doc?? :D
