Ever since I learned about my name check clearance I've been checking my case status every day for the past two months. Finally, today is the day! The status was changed to card production ordered. What a relief after 5 yrs of torture.

In late July I called TSC and an IO said a visa number was already allocated to my case. Having heard many different things from them I wasn't holding my breadth; but apparently she was right this time. I had LUD on my 485 on 7/31 and again 8/1, then today.

For you guys who are still waiting, don't give up hope. There are also 5 or 6 August approvals reported on trackitt so USCIS obviously are still working on existing cases, not to mention October is just around the corner.

Thanks. For people who have been getting conflicting reports on their FBI name check clearance, make sure you ask whether they initiated multiple requests by accident. If one is cleared you are good to go. The other one will remain pending forever and not be touched again.
