Green card and RTD

I am expecting to receive my Green Card approval this year (hopefully) I am also waiting for my travel doc that I applied in Feburary. Am I eligible to travel with RTD once I get my GC? Or would I have to apply for a new RTD based on GC?
Thanks,

You dont have to file a new RTD. Lets say you get your RTD in July and your GC approval in August. When you travel, your RTD says ASylee but the INS computer says "permanent Resident".

so when you enter the country, the officer will ask you to fill an I-94 card to which you can respond that your GC was approved and you are permanent resident.

If the officer still gives you problems, just fill the I-94 and go to secondary screening, once the officer pulls up your file, it will say "Permanent Resident"

Sounds good but tell you the truth I dont run into any issues while travelling with RTD. The just stamp your thing on the border and thats it or sometimes give you an I94 when coming through an Airport.

Paramvir1! why did you get stamp in RTD? you should have gotten that I-94 with GC stamp? Please elaborate your experience.

My husband has a GC. He wants to travel to Europe (not to his native Country) for 2 weeks but his national passport is not valid.

Should he apply for RTD, and then get visa to enter in this European Country?
Should he enter and leave this country using RTD and enter in USA using GC?
Am I right?
Please share you experience with me. Is there any problem to travel with RTD and GC?

lazerthe great...i took my RTD with me just in case...
lady asked me if i have passport i said no..i have RTD though.
she said it's same thing ..and i asked for i-94 ,she said i donnt need it as long i have stamp in this RTD(cuz it's fresh one).and stamp is valid for 1 year too.
anyways my card is in the mail.and if in future i need i-94 ,iwill go again there.cuz she did'n look even into her computer just looked at my letter and stamped my RTD.so no record of my visit.
