Green Card and Marriage

My priority date is May 02 and I have filed I-140 few days back and planning to get married by 2007 year-end. Should I go ahead and file I-485 or wait till my marriage?

As all the visa numbers are unavailable , it will open up only in Oct 2007 so if you can come before that [ assuming your date becomes current in pct it should be fine]

another trick is keep postponding your FP notice till you get married and come back [ my frd did that for 6+ mnths ] and come back , They cannot approve before they get your FP
 
Postponing FP

Hi mehuln,

I am in the same boat but was under the impression that one can postpone FP only once which buys one time for only around 2 months. Was your friend able to postpone more than once? Also, what reason(s) did he give for postponement and was he asked to provide 'proof' for them at any time?
