AD may 30th, 2002. Both me and my wife have been approved.I contacted the local senator\'s office 1 week prior to my approval.I have not spoken to them(the senator\'s office) since the approval.I don\'t know whether they had anything to do with the approval...right now I don\'t care.It\'s a big load off my shoulder and I can move on with my life.
I must admit that I got the idea of contacting the senator\'s office from some posting on this site and I am thankful.Good luck to everybody out there.
P.S:I was rather surprised to read some totally unrelated postings( non-immigration issues) under "I-485 NSC".While I do agree with a lot of one of those comments, I think this site should be used strictly for immigration related issues only.It\'s a nice, clean site, let\'s keep it that way.

R Kukunoor ,Congratulations !! I also, respectfully disagree

It is OK to discuss Non immigrant issues , in moderation of course. Strict inflexible rules are against freedom and free speech which this country fervently espouses. There are many issues like Health Insurance, Taxes, W-2 , 1099\'s , Passport issues etc which are discussed here from time to time. They have been very helpful to me.

If you come across a topic which does not interest you, simply ignore it.

Anyway enjoy your freedom. Good Luck

"In moderation" is the operative phrase

My comment was in direct reference to the "Ganguly" posting under the "I-485/NSC"section.In my opinion trash like this can be discussed on zillion other forums on the internet.I don\'t see a problem with discussing W-2s, taxes or passport issues etc..If you still don\'t agree with me , I guess we just have differing opinions.Who\'s to say who\'s right?
And don\'t get me wrong, I love the freedom(in all aspects of life)that this country gives us. It\'s just that derogatory remarks against North Indians and south Indians etc. didn\'t seem right on this site.
