RD 12/00, ND 01/01, FP 07/01,RFE#1 01/02...for I-94(my lawyer didn\'t file it with the original application, believe it or not), RFE#2 02/02..for birth certificate, INS wanted father\'s affidavit, my attorney had filed mother\'s affidavit only), INS recieved my RFE#2 on March 19,2002 per AVM. AD may 30th, 2002. Both me and my wife have been approved.I contacted the local senator\'s office 1 week prior to my approval.I have not spoken to them(the senator\'s office) since the approval.I don\'t know whether they had anything to do with the approval...right now I don\'t care.It\'s a big load off my shoulder and I can move on with my life.
I must admit that I got the idea of contacting the senator\'s office from some posting on this site and I am thankful.Good luck to everybody out there.
P.S:I was rather surprised to read some totally unrelated postings( non-immigration issues) under "I-485 NSC".While I do agree with a lot of one of those comments, I think this site should be used strictly for immigration related issues only.It\'s a nice, clean site, let\'s keep it that way.
