I do have another thinking and need your advice. If I change my status from F1 to F2, then apply H1 from F2 and got approved, what if i find another company, do i need to apply H1 all over again or my previous H1 was counted, just need company summit a transfer application, do not take up a new quota. Thanks. Plus, do you think it is difficult to change from F2 to H1?

You have to just transfer your h1 to another company. No quota issue
do not take up a new quota. Thanks. Plus, do you think it is difficult to change from F2 to H1? No. Who told you.?

Your H1 is effetive 9Valid) only from Oct 1, any transfer on this H1 should happen upon its validity start. Before its validity you can not transfer it.

Great Guru, I went Lawyer yesterday. She said i can apply F2 first, in a couple of day, then i can apply H1? Do you think what she said make sense. My question is When i apply H1, should i fill out my current status F1 or F2? Do you think F2 will confilct with H1 application?

Then i called a couple of other lawyer, they said i need to wait and get my receipt of F2, then i can apply H1.

You can change status from F1, F2 L1, H4 to h1 with out any conflicts. But it must be done before expiry of respective visa I 94 validity.

No.
because you are maintaing your staus here.
H1 is going to be valid only from Oct 1, 2007. previously there was a law which maintain the status without filing F2 . This year I am not sure.
