I\'ve got the interview notice from INS SJ local office. (scheduled: End of January, next year)
I don\'t have the notice at my hand yet, but just got a call from my lawyer.
I\'ll be posting any news I may find.

Great!!!

I just got a call from a friend, two more people got their GC after interview at the local SJ office. In one case the approval came 2 weeks after the interview. I do not have more info, however good news are good even when incomplete :)

All in all 3 people I know got their GC this week (one FB). Hang in there your turn will come soon.

Hal Love, your Interview may be because of BAD FP quality

Someone read the I485 processing manual and noted that
if you give your FP twice and twice the quality is
so bad that the FBI rank it as unclassifiable, then
they call you in for an interview.

If that is the case (I hope it is) your case
should be a breeze. Good luck.

what is the tax return??

Many people mentioned the tax return duringI485 interview. Is it the tax form we sent to IRS every year for tax return? Thank you for reply.

Hi, qsqs! There are two ways to prepare the tax return.

One way: You can get the copies from IRS as PrvoActive is saying.
The other one: You can use the copies you\'ve made when you reported the tax return.

my case is xfered to local office too. Do you know the reason
yours is xfered and what did they ask to bring to the interview.

I got 2 finger prints too similar to your case. the xfer happens
this month.

I don\'t have any details yet, but I may get the interview notice soon from my lawyer.

As Bongo\'s information, it could be because of bad quality of the 2nd fingerprint.

By the way, which local office is your case transferred to?
When is your RD/ND?
As you know, waiting time for different local office is different.

(X) THIS LETTER, YOUR PASSPORT, PROPER I.D., ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS FILED WITH YOUR ADJUSTMENT APPLICATION/PETITION.

(X) MEDICAL EXAMINATION RESULTS WITH VACCINATION SUPPLEMEMT (IF NOT SUBMITTED AT TIME OF FILING).

(X) A CURRENT LETTER OF EMPLOYMENT FOR YOU AND THE PETITIONER (SALARY, START DATE, AND POSITION).

(X) BOTH THE PETITIONER AND BENEFICIARY NEED TO KEEP THIS APPOINTMENT. COPIES OF YOUR INCOME TAX FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS WITH W-2\'S.

(X) ADJUSTMENT FOR SPOUSE ONLY: BRING ALL ORIGINALS AND 1 SET COPIES OF THE ITEMS CHECKED BELOW.

(X) MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, ALL INSURANCE POLICIES, RENTAL AGREEMENTS, DEEDS, BANK/CREDIT STATEMENTS, CHILDREN\'S BIRTH CERTIFICATES.

(X) UTILITY BILLS, WEDDING PHOTOS, AND ANY OTHER EVIDENCE YOU FEEL WOULD HELP ESTABLISH THAT YOUR MARRIAGE IS BONAFIDE.

I received the same request for documentations.

SJ TFR Date Oct 15 2001
Interview Date Jan 17 2002
Additional request was fingerprinting to be done at the story road office within 2 weeks of receipt of the interview letter.( My FP was done on Sep 1 2000 earlier which is almost more than a year ago which is why they might have asked me to do the FP ).
