Grace period for OPT, CPT possible?

Here is my background: I have a BS degree in US, OPT expire june 1, still looking for job in order to apply h1 (of course, desi consultant is the last option).

1) i know Kaplan can solve the gap problem, $1400 is ok, but really a waste of time.

2) major concern is that i am still looking for job, but 4months gap really scare all employers away. I really don't mind to volunteer, but I know it will still violate the law. So could
can anyone suggest which school allows doing either CPT or Internship credit(paid/non-paid) in the first semester? In that case, I could legally get internship credit and so as to work volunteer in the company.

how about this:

1) get a Kaplan F1, then register a internship course from other college during summer (same concept as during summer, and register College B's classes while attending College A BS.degree) In that case, we don't need School B's F1.

Another question, are we still being considered as a F1 student during grace period? In other word, can we register other college/university class during grace period?

Thanks, I appreciate any input.

I heard the same thing about Kaplan and my situation is almost the same, except I have a job and they want to file for the H1, but I'd fall into the quota, so I need to go to Kaplan so I don't go out of status. Where did you get info about Kaplan!? Can you help me get it? What should I do? Where do I go?
A good option for you is to look for a placement agency that sponsor. They can find you a job and also get you a visa!
Help, please!!!
Thanks!

All the consultancy firm also ask me to pay for the H1.....Do you know any good one?

Regarding the Kaplan information, check your PM, I will send the info to you.

If you don't mind posting this information or sending me the info about Kaplan. That would be very helpful. My OPT ends next week, and I didn't know it was possible to get an F-1 status extension. So is it illegal to volunteer without getting paid during the grace period?

Thanks very much.

I'm in pretty much the same situation.. OPT expired yesterday, May 19th. The company I'm working for is ready to sponsor H1B but yes there is the wretched gap of 4 months.
What I did was enroll in an MBA, so I've got CPT authorization. Still there's a gap of 3 weeks because summer semester does not start till mid june.
The rule states that you have to be in F1 status continuously for 1 year to get approved for CPT. You are considered on F1 status when you are doing your OPT. So when you apply to a masters or another bachelors, as long as you've been on status.. (OPT) you will qualify for CPT.
Sorry.. I have no clue about kaplan.. don't then they can authorize CPT though.

Best of luck.
