got transfer to Chicago

Both my wife and I got transfer to Chicago local office on 1/26/2003.

Don't know why.

my info:
RD: 10/17/2001
ND: 11/17/2001
FP: 1/31/2002

Any idea on how long will it take the Chicago local office to process the case?

Our dates are very close. How did you find out about the transfer?

The two most common reasons I have heard for local transfer cases are:

1) cases filed under 245i.
2) Married less than two years.

I came to know from this friend of mine that Chicago is one of the worst local INSs in the nation in terms of processing time.

basically I check INS website everyday. That's how I found out.

I hope after 15 months' wait the end is near.

Don't mean to discourage you but
the WAIT IS NOT OVER, its JUST STARTED !!!

Local Office, is a big mess, you cannot get
any updates from them and they are taking
very long these days to send interview Notices.

Mine and My Wife's cases were transf in
Sep'02 and till date we haven't heard
anything.
