got this from my attorney

I got this from my attorney based on a query about processing times after finger print: Is this true ? Looks like a standard answer to me... unhelpful lawyers.

Fingerprinting has nothing to do with the processing
times of the TSC. According to the most recent TSC
time report, TSC is processing 485 cases filed on
December 2000. Your case was filed 3/02.

Therefore, currently there is about a 2 1/2 year wait
before ones case is processed. So you are looking
towards Winter 2004-05 until your 485 case is
adjudicated.

These are the processing times of the TSC and we have
no control over the speed TSC processes its cases.

Same Junk !

Your lawyer is just trying to avoid you for 2 more years. They just don't want our applications to get processed so fast. After all they are getting AP and EAD fees every year. One thing is correct, I think, in their reply, sure they don't have any control over time. They are just a bunch of office clerks.

This anwer we can derive any time sheet, we don't need to hear from our lawyer. But what we can do ? nothing.

Groan,

GC_Aspirant_11 said it right.

Is FDBL(Frogomen, Del Rey et al ) your attorney by any chance? They are my attorney and they are telling me the same bull shit.

I know couple of my co-workers who filed 485 after me got their approval in spite of FDBL handling their case. So these attorneys/paralegals know 12/2000 is just not an accurate reflection of TSC's actual processing times. But admitting it would mean more work to them in terms of contacting TSC on our behalf etc..

At least I can understand INS's inefficiency - they are govt. But these attorneys - you pay them big bucks but the service you get from most of them is absolutely horrible.

VSC time

And to add salt to the wound VSC is processing Feb 2002. Can you believe this.

VSC

If you look thru VSC's forums, you will see there are people who have filed in around Sep 2001 and are waiting.
Since they find , people from Jan & feb 02 are getting approved, they are hvg a online petition.
How much such petitions shd we submit at TSC then ??

Vermont

In another post under I-485 General, I noted 27 reports of approvals on these forums at VSC compared to 1 at TSC over an 11 day period.
I sure wish I had gone through this process when I was living in Maine.

After having spent bunch of years going through this immigration B.S. ( ofcourse, I am still waiting for that winter of whatever year for my I-485 to get approved), I concluded one thing. These lawyers are no better than ordinary clerks. All they know is which form to file for which purpose. Infact, we all know better than those clerks. But, we comfort ourselves going through the lawyer thinking that we are doing the right thing. You all know what is the cost of this comfort. TO make the long story short, we could have simply avoided going throuh these lawyers and file on our own. Hey, it is too late. Already lots and lots of $$$$$$$ gone into the account of our loving lawyers. Did we learn any lesson?? May be or may be not.

Have good weekend folks!!
