Got the Passport stamped today

I have not receive my plastic card yet; Neither I received approval notice. The Online message does not stay that I485 is approved. But I received approval notice for my children and When I Called INS they said that my card is ordered on 16th June.

Today I went to the local office and got my passort I551 stamped. They asked for approval notice, I said that I haven't got it. They checked the systsem and stamped my passort. ( The stamp is a simple 6 line stamp - says " Prosessed for I 551.. etc. The validity is one year)

Anyone who is planning : Make sure you have the passort vaildity atleast for one year.

I will update the forum when i get the card.

Passport validity.

I had my passport valid only up to Dec 7th. So my I-551 stamp is only for five months.
 
Two more photos. They will give you a temporary document if your passport is expired very soon.
 
Buzz : Not a good idea. the Person refused to stamp on a blank paper

Anyone going : Strongly suggest you go with one year valid passport. Don't depend on the blank paper stamping idea
