You got I-485 approved in 3 months. It looks like your name check got cleared in 2 months.

My I-485 is pending at VSC with ND = Feb'2006 and name check cleared on 09/12/2006 and PD = Jun'2000 is current

Waiting for approval. Don't know when.

My I-485 case transferred from TSC to VSC last week . I am getting some confidence now of quicker approval after seeing your case.

By any chance ,your case transferred to VSC from other service center ?

Can you tell us how you got confirmation that your name check cleared?
 
Did they e-mail you? Send you a letter or over the phone? whenever I speak to them, they have no information about as to when they send for NC review with FBI etc.

I got both the approval notices for me and family and the plastic cards today by mail.

I thank this site and people in the forum for their valuable suggestion/advise/comfort during the waiting (retrogressed) period. I once again wish everyone waiting a speedy adjudicaiton.

When I called VSC they just said that my security checks have been cleared. They did not give any details. They said they will process by case in 60 to 90 days.?
Also I saw LUD on 09/12/06. I believe that must be related to name check?? not sure??

That sounds like _very_ good news to me. :D
I think you can expect an approval pretty soon.
I only advise caution and don't get too excited, just in case.
But keep the beer ready and be all set to party!!

yeah, dont get too excited, no point keeping the beer ready either, the beer would get cold and hot umpteen times over the years. Maybe we should use wine ! atleast gets better over time..

anyways, how to get to someone at VSC who can tell me whether my name check got cleared ? anytime I call, they tell me they wouldnt have that kind of information. Any set of options that can get me to a "humane" human being ?? how did you do ?

any info appreciated.

Name Check

Hi,
I called the USCIS to check the status of my case today. The representative told me the case is in process but she refused to tell me if Name Check is over or not. She asked me check the status of my case on USCIS website in 2-3 weeks. When I had called last month they told me that they are waiting for reply from FBI for Name Check. Does anyone has any idea what this means? My case detail is:

Priority Date: 11/1999
I-140 AD 10/2005
I-485 RD 02/03/2006
FP 3/31/2006
