Got the I485 approval notices

Our cases were approved on 09/09/2002 and we received the notices on 09/14/2002. I can not wait to stamp on Wednesday!!

Can you go on Monday ?

Or should you have to wait until Wednesday ?

The letter says the appointment is on Wednesday. But some friends here say it is okay to stamp on any day but they will question why.

what's this with "appointment day". My approval notice didn't have any such date. All it had was working hours and M-F.

Please let me know.

Some INS offices stamp passports only on specific days, like NYC office will do it only on Fridays, Newark on Wednesdays etc. Others keep it open since they are not as busy as the above mentioned ones. The approval notice (original and cc) specifies any restrictions commanded by the local INS office. So the appointment day (not date). If your approval notice does not specify one, then you can go any day and get it stamped.

Woo, you are lucky. My notice says Wednesday 8am-12noon. I hope I can go today . Anyway, it does not matter to wait another 2 days.
