Got response from Senator Boxer's office regarding name check and...

I am really frustrated. My name check has been pending since 8/1/2003 and the letter says "US security will not be compromised and there are no expedites or informations being released to third parties..." Has anybody else got similiar response? I also called the congressman's office and was told the same thing. I guess there is nothing else to do then :(

BTW, my receipt number is WAC-03212xxxxx, receipt date 7/22/03.

my I485 was filed on 9/12/03. so you can see where I stand now. I got a reply from Boxer just last week, almost the same answer.....security clearances, cannot be released to any third parties, blah blah.

I suggest we write to not our local senators and congressmen but to those in senate and house fbi oversight committees. (For some of us our local senators and congressmen might be in those committees). Let's try to bring their attention that if agency is unable to finish security check in more than two years, US security is already seriously compromised

What's your online message in USCIS?
Just want to know what message means the name check is clear.

I did an inquiry a few months ago. It says nothing about the name check.
"On November 24, 2004, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

my online status just changed into the same message like the one you have. Will I actually receive this "response" in mail? What's your experience?

Yea, you probably would, though I doubt it will actually accelerate processing of your case. I think it's simply a response to an inquiry you or your attorney made to USCIS.

yes, it says my case is awaiting final security clearances. but it also says it is hard to predict how long it takes to get the final clearance.
my i485 was filed in Sep. 03. just two months later than your case.\

I followed some successful stories here and sent snail mail to FBI a couple of weeks ago - haven't heard anything yet. I called CSC emergency number and was told it's still pending.

What about you? Have you sent letters to FBI?

No, I didn't. I only inquired through Senators Boxer and Feinstein. Hopefully our cases can be cleared in a few months. do you believe so?

Oh I hope so. I am about to lose faith from time to time. Well, I guess there isn't much we can do other than being patient :(

Hello, guys,

Sorry to hear your stories.

My impression that the senators are more attentive during their election campaign.
Boxer was re-elected last fall. Last August-september both Boxer's office and Feinstein's office looked to be more helpful.

Second thing not in your favor: nowdays more and more people realize that they are under the name check, so the volume of requests to the senator's office increased dramatically.
