our inquiry is whether CSC received the my wife's document for RFE which was mailed to CSC on 03-21-03. here is the reply:

I will pull your file and place it in line for current adjudication/review.

You should hear a decision within 90 days. If we need anything or have any questions, we will contact you by mail. If you do not hear from us after the 90th day, please feel free to email me directly.

Thank you.

What is the e-mail ID you used or is the response you received from your lawyer ?

Who sent the email to INS ? You or your lawyer ?

guowx to what email address you sent your enquiry?

it's mentioned in the CSC 2003 processing guidelines (I think page #5 and 6, but my memory is shady)

guowx,

I would really appreciate if you could tell me how long it took BCIS to respond to your e-mail?

Thanks.

On the same page "your comments on the service provided is appreciated". Please address all comments to Assistant Center Director Division XII AT CSC.XII.ACD@usdoj.gov. (They are in charge of backlogs). I think we can make a strong case here

How about sending our online petition to him/her . Im sure it will have some effect..

Any comments everyone??? We have to do something..

email address

CSC.XII.485@ usdoj.gov

this is the level II inquiry since we sent a fax two weeks ago without a response. this email inquiry was sent by myself on 5-29-03 and got the response today.

Aha! 3rd business day after 5/29.
Let's see how it goes with my wife's I131. Thursday is the 3rd business day for us. It seems that Division XII is at least responsive if not effective.
guowx, let us know if they do something in 90 days. I strongly suspect it should be earlier.

thanks guowx for all the info. So looks like we can email at this address only whne we have sent an earlier level I enquiry.

Actually it worse than that! Note that current one is a RFE case and they get higher priority. So the question is "If WAC 02-040 that got RFE takes 90 days then..." :)

well i decided to have my rant and sent an email to CSC.XII.ACD@usdoj.gov, the address they say to send your comments about the service to.

I know it won't help, but made me feel better, I think I will send one once a week from now on with a different rant each time.

subject: I485 Processing virtually non-existant at CSC

I understand this is the email address if you have complaints about the service at CSC. The JIT report has not moved dates since Jan 15 and in reality since 10/15/2002 which is evidenced by the lack of approvals.

Why has CSC essentially not processed I485s for the last 8 months? This service center used to be the best averaging 6-8 months for approvals now it is averaging 18-24 months falling behind all other centers and rivalling Texas for the worst center.

Listed below are the JIT dates, could you please help me to understand what the problem is and maybe address the problem with whoever is causing the bottleneck?

Change of address email reply

My lawyer sent an email requesting change of address on my 485 application and got the reply within a day saying

"The file has been updated to reflect the new address as requested. "

The email was sent by lawyer to "CSC.XII.485@usdoj.gov". My lawyer said that "BCIS seems to be improving its email inquiry procedure! I already received a response to our email request. We don't need to send the fax anymore."

DO you guys think this is fine or i should push the lawyer to send fax enquiry as well

If you got a reply like this it should be fine. No harm sending a fax the only plus is ,it could trigger them to touch your case.. just a chance nothing else

I got a reply in 55 minutes!

This is the reply for my question below and I got it in less than an hour!
---------------------------BCIS Response-------------------------------------
Your case was received on 7/9/02. Currently, we are processing I-485 cases with receipt dates of 11/16/01 or earlier. Your case is within normal processing time.

We have received your fingerprint result from the FBI on 8/7/02.

--------------------My Query--------------------------------------------------
Subject: I-485 status

Dear Sir/Madam,
I had applied for I-485, Application to Register Permanent
Residence or to Adjust Status which was received by BCIS on July 10, 2002. The receipt number is:
WAC02228xxxxx

On August 1, 2002, BCIS mailed a notice requesting that I appear for fingerprint recording. I got the finger printing done on August 7, 2002. The online and telephonic case status do not reflect this fact eventhough it has been more than 9 months since I had gotten it done. Please advice me with the current status of my I-485 application and whether processing has resumed on my
case. Also, if possible please advice me as to the current processing time and when to expect a decision.

Thanks very much in advance,
gcnotez.

I can understand that being as a standard reply to a WAC02228xxxxx.

But I am sort of beginning to think that .. that email enquiry crap is turning out to be yet another 949#, IIO crap in the long run.
