Got my visa! Can I visit before moving?

Hi all,

I've got my permanent resident visa sticker in my passport, mailed back to me from then consulate today.

My question is, I am planning to actually enter the US as a permanent resident in January. Before that, I need to take my husband to the airport in Buffalo, this Saturday, and we also want to go to his parents' place in Arizona for Christmas. Do I just show them my passport as I usually do, and explain that I am not moving yet?

Also I just want to TRIPLE check... once I do enter the US using this visa, moving to be with my husband, can I continue to cross the border to visit Canada and return?
