I got my passport today. It was processed (expedited and with express mail, post office to front door) in slightly more than a week. However, it was a week that included the Thanksgiving Holiday.

It is an "old-style" passport (no RFID chip). It was processed through the Houston passport office.

My status never showed up on the "passport status" web site. However, the 800 number was able to give me an accurate status (I phoned after 1 week and they told me they had put it in the mail that morning - it showed up the next day at noon (via express mail).
