Hi,

I have my GC and have convinced my US Co. to keep me on their payrol while I work out of the home country...out sourcing and stuff and providing them with cheap but hardworking intelligent labor. Also I will be travelling back and forth every 6-8 weeks. The important point to note is that this US co. has no operations in India (home country). I have merely created an opportunity, where I will live/work in india and still be employed by the US co w/o they having an India base.

Now the Question is/are:
1) Does my situation make me an expat?

2) Is there any benefit (other than making USD in the home country) to such a situation...speaking primarily "tax-a-forically". Is there a tax break for expats from the US?

3) If this situation continues for over 6 months do I need a reentry permit?

I am meeting my lawyer in 2 weeks, but I couldn't wait so I thought I'd ask you intelligent folks on this forum.

Joe and anybody else...any help is highly appreciated. Thx
