I have just received summon for a jury duty. What should I do?
- I am not US citizen yet
- I no longer live in the area for which I received the summons, in fact I am 300 miles away
What could have caused this? Anyone ever received this while LPR?
Did you register to vote? If you did then that's why.
If you still live in the same state, being 300 miles away won't necessarily get you out of jury duty; they can just assign you to a case closer to where you live.- I no longer live in the area for which I received the summons, in fact I am 300 miles away

I just called them, and explained I was not USC. Did not send anything as they did not request it when I asked.
The jury duty letter didn't come with a reply form that you should send to indicate whether you're able to serve or why you can't serve?

It came. However, I have just an electronic copy of it from my old address. I am out of state living.
If I wanted to respond, my friends would have to resend it to me and then I would have to send it to the court. As I said, I called there and they told me that this way everything is fine.
You think I should still try to send them a paper response?
